Location Details

Calgary's Beltline is among the most livable communities in Canada, drawing comparisons with Vancouver's Yaletown or Belltown in Seattle. Famous as the Red Mile for the 2004 Calgary Flames playoff run which saw the neighbourhood packed to the brim with fans decked out in Flames' red; there's a lot more to this neighbourhood than that celebratory spirit which dominates when the Flames are playing.

 

Bordered by 14th St. SW on one side and the rippling waters of the Elbow River on the other, Calgary's Beltline is the central neighbourhood that provides the transition from downtown to the rolling residential hills of Mount Royal, Bankview, and beyond. In downtown without being of downtown, the Beltline is host to some of the city's best dining, shopping, culture, and nightlife.
